This is a two piece vintage black alpaca dress and coat ensemble from Geoffrey Beene from the Fall/Winter 1999 collection. This outfit includes a midi length black stretch dress with a low scoop neck thin straps and diagonal pleated satin bands that are similar to wide gathered grosgrain ribbons throughout dress and coat.

We love Geoffrey Beene vintage clothing and grab it whenever we come across it. This particular piece was from the Geoffrey Beene Archives, and we have the sister dress that walked the original runway!

This outfit is truly sensational and much more beautiful than even the photos suggest! You can wear each piece separately and the coat will add style to any outfit!

It is in excellent condition. One of the ribbons on the dress looks to have been repaired in a small section. There are no closures on either piece, and we estimate the outfit to fit a size 8.
